About Wenhao

I solve business problems by connecting the dots between an organization’s goals and users’ technological needs. Through user research, evidence-based design, and a curious mind, I help businesses gain a deeper understanding of their customers and turn research data into meaningful and engaging product experience.

I have been developing my skills in UX research and design through various design projects, research assistantship, and volunteer work. My previous work experience also helped me better manage UX projects and communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

I strive to narrow the gap between people and technology with designs that are usable, useful, and enjoyable.

I changed my career direction to UX from higher education administration, where I organized programs and events to support student success. I decided to make the transition as I noticed my increasing empathy with people who struggle with less than satisfactory technology designs. As Gandhi said: “Be the change you wish to see in the world”, I followed my passion for advocating for what people need and why.

When I’m not doing UX work, you can fine me jogging around my neighborhood, exploring the beauty of Chicago, crocheting, taking care of my plants, or hanging out with my cat.
